Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Reclaimed waste tip land at Lower Glynrhonwy Quarry The modern bank with young trees planted on it (middleground) separates the three pits of Glynrhonwy Isaf Quarry from the reclaimed former site of the large slate mill which served both Upper and Lower Glynrhonwy. The other levelled and reclaimed areas were sites of extensive rubbish runs. The intention of the Gwynedd County Council was that new factories would be attracted to these sites. As yet only on one reclaimed area, the site of the neighbouring Goodman Quarry, has there been any new industrial development, with the building of the Euro/DPC factory.
