Description
English: Roundabout in Recke, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Deutsch: Recker Kreisel am westlichen Ortsausgang von Recke, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Der erste Kreisverkehr der Gemeinde wurde 2009 fertiggestellt und verbindet die Hopstener Straße (Landesstraße 599) mit der Mettinger Straße (Westumgehung). Den Kreisel schmücken vier Darstellungen ländlicher Szenen (Fachwerkhaus, pflügender Bauer, Sämann und Bauer mit Sense). Die Idee dazu hatten Josef Struck, Hermann Büscher und Werner Heukamp. Der Entwurf für die Kreiselgestaltung und die Figurenzeichnungen stammen von Josef Struck.
