Description

Installation

Art Souterrain Zone 12: Place Ville Marie

Rebekah Miller’s Building my House consists of translucent “sculptures” of a free-floating house and doors printed on fabric. Doors are of particular interest to the artist who views them as points of transcendence, movement and passage through a house. For Miller, doors are a threshold between the interior and the exterior which can stand for liminal spaces between the physical and the psychological, dream and reality, and so on. The flow of passersby and the natural light in the exhibition space cause Miller’s works to sway and come to life.
