Description
English: Rear view of the Speech House Hotel Viewed from the Cyril Hart Arboretum. In the centre of the Forest of Dean, the Speech House was built in 1676 as a hunting lodge for Charles II, and became recognised as the administrative centre for the area. It became a place where one went to talk, or make a speech. It is now a 37 bedroom hotel.
