Description Reading Town Hall, Friar Street, Reading. Designed by Waterhouse and built 1872-6. The Tower was re-instated in 1988-89 after the original was destroyed by bombing in 1943. It was extended in 1879-82 by Thomas Lainson with the Art Gallery added in 1896-7 by J J Cooper and W R Howell.
