Summary
[edit]DescriptionReading General geograph-2456327-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Up 'Mayflower' at Reading General. View westward, towards Swindon, Bristol, the West and West Midlands; ex-GWR main line from Paddington. For some reason, the Up 'Mayflower' (08.30 Plymouth North Road to Paddington), having already negotiated the flat crossing over the Swindon lines, has been put on the Slow line through Reading station. The locomotive is Collett 'King' - the largest of the GWR's 4-6-0 classes - No. 6002 'King William IV' (uilt 7/27, withdrawn 9/62). |
