Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The south side of the Hospitium of St. John, seen from the charchyard of St. Lawrence's church. It is one of few remaining buildings from the time of Reading Abbey, when it was used as a dormitory for pilgrims. In 1485 it was extensively altered to become the Royal Grammar School of King Henry VII (later Reading School). Today it is occupied by a children's nursery. For more information see the Wikipedia article Reading Abbey .
