Sioux Falls Soldier Watches Prisoners. Tech. Sgt. Ray C. Gill (right), son of Mr. and Mrs. James Gill, 715 West Third street is pictured standing outside of a double barbed-wire fence, watching German and Italian prisoners of war in a disposal camp in Alexandria, Egypt. A British soldier stands guard over the captives. The disposal camp is the first stop before the prisoners are placed in permanent camps. Attached to an American bomber squadron, Sgt. Gill has been in North Africa since August 16, and is a personnel sergeant major at post headquarters. He was trained for air forces reconnaissance and gunner lit it McChord field, Washington.
