| Description |
English: Ray Spit. This is a view along the Spit of Salt marsh that extends to the southwest of Ray Island (Strood Channel is to the left). This is as far as I could get into the marsh without taking a mud bath. The inlets and little creeks that characterise the salt marsh make Hampton Court Maze seem like a doodle. I had to retrace my steps several times when I got lost among the channels. I was very glad I turned back a couple of hours before high tide or else panic may have set in! |
