Internamente, anche il mosaico dell’abside raffigura Sant’Apollinare in un prato verde lussureggiante, circondato da alberi, fiori e animali, creando così un’atmosfera di pace e serenità. Tutto questo verde simbolizza il paradiso e la vita eterna, rendendo la basilica un luogo di grande bellezza e spiritualità.
English: The Basilica of Sant'Apollinare in Classe, located in Ravenna, is truly a jewel surrounded by greenery. Internally, the mosaic of the apse also depicts Sant'Apollinare in a lush green lawn, surrounded by trees, flowers and animals, creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity. All this greenery symbolizes heaven and eternal life, making the basilica a place of great beauty and spirituality.
