English: Double-headed Bristol - Penzance express on Rattery Bank. View NE, towards Totnes, Newton Abbot and Exeter etc.; ex-GWR Exeter etc. - Plymouth - Penzance main line. The 09.35 from Bristol is 86 minutes late - as explained in SX7760 : Manchester - Penzance express ascending Rattery Bank near Tigley, headed by 4-6-0's Nos. 7034 'Ince Castle' and No. 7018 'Drysllwyn Castle', the pilot having been attached at Newton Abbot - super-power if the engines are well. (They were built 8/50 and 5/49, withdrawn 6/65 and 9/63 respectively). The firemen of both engines are also working very hard, judging from the smoke. |
