Description
Deutsch: Dreiteiliges Ostdeutsches Heimatfenster im Lichthof des Hohenlimburger Rathauses (aus Lizenzgründen Aussenaufnahme). Neben dem Fenster brachte der Heimatverein eine Informationstafel an. Der Wortlaut des Textes: „Es wurde am 17. Juni 1958, dem damaligen Tag der Deutschen Einheit, der Öffentlichkeit übergeben. Es erinnert an die nach dem Ende des 2. Weltkriegs aus den ehemaligen deutschen Ostgebieten und weiteren Siedlungsräumen Vertriebenen, die in Hohenlimburg aufgenommen und integriert wurden: „Als das Rathaus geweiht wurde, lebten in dieser Stadt unter 25719 Einwohnern 4623 Heimatvertriebene“. Eingeweiht wurde das Bauwerk am 7. Januar 1956. Die künstlerische Gestaltung des Fensters (1958) geht auf den in Hohenlimburg lebenden Bildhauer Engelbert Kaps (1888–1975) zurück, der aus dem Sudetenland stammte. Die Fenster zeigen links (Foto rechts) das Rathaus von Breslau und rechts die Marienburg (Foto links). Auch das steinerne Wappen Hohenlimburgs am Rathausturm ist das Werk dieses Künstlers. Ebenso schuf er die Warmwalzer-Statue (1959) nördlich des Rathausflügels an der Stennertbrücke, linksseitig der Lenne“.
