Description
English:
Várkerület Town Hall aula, north statues (1844). Built to builder master Kimnach house in 1835. Remodelled to the Royal Hungarian State Printing House in 1876, Architect József Ámon. In 1890 partly (backside) remodelled into a iron framed industry hall. In 1993 the district council bought for Town Hall. Restored to 1876? form. At this time the building 'got' artworks for decoration (18th, 19th century paintings, sculptures). A new architectural element is the 1990s glass roof covered Neo-Classical courtyard, former printing maschine room, now aula for events (concerts) . In 2022, this building was a participants of the Budapest100 event and opened (from basement to roof) for public. Part of the Budapest World Heritage protected architectural ensembles - 1 Kapisztrán Square = 34 Országház Street, Várnegyed neighborhood, District I of Budapest.

A nagy aulában négy neoklasszicista szobor a Régi Pesti Városházáról látható: a bejárattól jobbra helyezkednek el Bauer Mihály /1794, ? -1858/ 1844-es alkotásai restaurálta Konkoly György ill. Módy Péter 1998-ban: a "Közbiztonság" és az "Igazságszolgáltatás", balra állnak Uhrl Ferenc 1844-es szobrai restaurálta 1998-ban ? és Varga Zoltán: a "Szeretet" és a "Becsület" - Budapest, Várkerület, Várnegyed városrész, Kapisztrán tér 1 = Anjou bástya 7. =Országház utca 34.
