| Description |
English: Founded in 1997, Siam Cultural Park is located on Petchkasem road in Wang Yen subdistrict, Bang Pae district. Covering an area with the park which is in the shade of diverse species of plants along the road that leads to the exhibition venue, divided into 6 main settings as follows:
1) The Hall of Fame displaying wax sculptures of prominent figures such as M.L. Pin Malakul, Dr. Puey Ungpakorn, President Mao Zedong and President Deng Xiaoping 2) Buddha images of the Three Eras, being: Sukhothai, Ayutthaya, and Chiang Saen 3) Jujaka Light and Sound Cave depicting the story of Vessantara, the last human reincarnation of the Lord Buddha, that teaches about the Buddhist precept of self-containment 4) The Monk’s Quarters and a Prayer Hall housing a collection of most renowned and respectable monks 5) The Four Regional Thai Style Houses offering architectural uniqueness of traditional Thai houses in each regions 6) The Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva displaying a 3.5 metre tall statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in the royal ease posture model ledon arts in the Song Dynasty |
