Description
English: Typhoon Rammasun has slowed and convection continues deepening further. The eyewall structure is developing and convective banding is consolidating as vigorous equatorward outflow continues while vertical wind shear remains low. The favorable environment and conducive sea surface temperatures will allow further intensification before the system begins to interact with land where some weakening is forecast through the next couple of days. Once the system clears the Philippines, the open, warm waters of the South China Sea will assist the storm in re-intensifying. Landfall in China is forecast to be near northern Haiyan Island across the Luichow Peninsula and into mainland China in 4 to 5 days.
