Raja Mewrdhwaja had interrupted the horse sacrifice of the Pandavas to commemorate their victory in the great war. He was asked to sacrifice himself but was pardoned by Krishna owing to his sincerity. Pianters of the original. Lal and Bhagwan, c. 1590 Modern copyists, Chhotilal and Jagannath, 1887
