Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The raised pedestrian crossing over the entrance of Domain Drive, Auckland Domain in Auckland, New Zealand. Looking southeast along Park Road.
The interesting thing about this crossing is how polite everyone is in interacting with each other (even the Auckland drivers with their very bad reputation). Cars give way to pedestrians even though they don't legally have to. Also notice the length between the limit line where the car is standing and the crossing - this means that the first car doesn't block the crossing while waiting, and the following drivers are usually courteous enough not to actually go onto the crossing until the driver on the other side has moved away.
