Summary

[edit]
Description

The Butchart Gardens were once an abandoned quarry, turned into this amazing garden by Jennie Butchart (the wife of Robert, owner of the cement factory whose tower is in the background). Still run by the family, the gardens are now an incredible public attraction - even in the pouring rain when complementary white umbrellas sprout like mushrooms.
