If a lap and lead lever should break, the ports should becovered, lever and radius rod taken down and valve fastenedin middle of seat. • If a valve, valve crank-pin, or rod connecting link and pinshould break, cover the ports, take, down the broken parts,disconnect the lead lever from the main crosshead, takingcare that the lead lever clears the latter, then clamp thevalve in position.
