Summary
[edit]DescriptionRailway between Wandsworth and Clapham Junction - geograph.org.uk - 1105876.jpg |
English: Railway between Wandsworth and Clapham Junction There is a bend in the tracks, more evident on larger scale maps than at 1:50,000, at TQ266753. The railway at this point has four running lines "paired by speed" (fast tracks on the left, slow tracks on the right for stopping trains), plus a siding on the south side of the formation.
In this view, two Southwestern trains are passing. Desiro unit HC 450544 (left) on an 'up' service (towards Waterloo) that had been delayed by 40 minutes due to a lightning strike, and an unidentified class 455 on a down service. |
