This is the first of six locomotivesto be operated by the Michigan Centralin the tunnel under the Detroit River. new yards at Windsor, Ont. The electri-fied zone, embracing the tunnel with itsapproaches, terminal tracks and sidings,will cover a distance of approximately33,000 ft. On the approaches a 2 per cent,grade extends for about 2,000 ft. at eachend of the tunnel.
