Everything else being equal I prefer theErie to any other route, probably bci.ni e of the Vestibuled Limited is, that thetrain is one of the most luxurious meansof transportation to be found in this orany other country. The dictionary hasbeen ransacked for words to describe theluxurious character of this train, butwords fail to do justice to the condition .

In considering themeans of transportation I decided to taketrain No. 3 of the Erie, known as theVestibuled Limited—illustrated in the ac-companying engraving. My experiencewith quite a number of trains on the it was the first railroad that carried meto the hopeful West and led me towardsthe spot where my labors entitled me toconsider myself one of the countrys pro-ducers and an humble member of theAmerican railroad fraternity.
