all thatthey should be in the matter of cleanlinessand this is borne out by other observersbesides the Wanderer. There was no de-liberate attempt to injure the RailroadBranch of the Young Mens Christian As-sociation, but rather to call attention toone of its defects and possibly to arousethe officers of the association to wipe outthat defect. If the article can only servethe purpose of bringing the one awful ex-ample into the line of hygienic cleanliness,it and even the feeling that it has arousedwill have been well worth while. Andfinally, attention is called to the statisticsoffered and the suggestion is made thatmere volume is not exactly a true cri-terion of the palatability of the millions of meals served, the cleanliness of thethree million beds occupied or the privacygiven to the two million bathers. Thecorrespondent admits that there may befaults and inferentially a possibility ofimprovement, and if this be made, thecolumns of this paper will most willinglyadvertise that fact.
