Notes |
The original watercolour by T.T. Bury is in the National Railway Museum, object number 1977-5830. In an earlier 1831 version of the print the tunnel mouth is obscured by a train; the end gable of the canopy roof is open not boarded; and the treatment of the wall to the right is different, without the roof of the further small building visible behind it. The original watercolour more closely resembles this revised print. |
