In this case the position of the tubemust be reversed, since the inside, or knob coating, ofthe jar is in opposite electrical condition to the outside.Hence, under these conditions, the anode of the tubewill be connected to the knob of that jar whose brushshows the glow discharge, while the cathode will be con-nected to the one displaying the brush.
