| Description |
English: The observing room on the top floor of the Radcliffe Observatory, Oxford. Now bereft of its instruments, the room still contains some of the original furniture as well as a spiral staircase that leads to an upper gallery. From this gallery the observer had access to the roof (now closed) where meteorological observations were made. French windows open from the observing room onto the balcony, making it possible to wheel observing instruments outdoors. There are panoramic views across Oxford on all sides. |
