| Description |
English: Race Yate Rigg gate. This gate allows the bridleway from Battle Hill to the Race Yate boundary stone (it appears to have no other destination) to pass through the wall dividing Lartington High Moor from the Great Allotment. That bridleway crosses the Pennine Way (also a bridleway at this point), here seen heading south towards Deepdale. Whilst the Race Yate Rigg track is mostly dry underfoot, the Pennine Way is constantly soggy, except when the ground is locked in winter's icy embrace 1206675. |
