Description
English: Rajasthan is having many big and small previous kingdoms everywhere in the state.Only a small part of Ajmer was under direct control of Britishers.but else chauhans have their own kingdoms.

Following Royal Families still exist in Rajasthan :

1.Jodhpur Royal Family of Rathores under the kingship of HH Maharaja Gaj Singh II OF Jodhpur. They stay in Umaid Bhawan Palace.

2.Jaipur Royal Family of Kachwaha Rajawats is under Maharaja Padmanabh Singh who was adopted by previous Maharaja.

3. Royal family of Udaipur under Sisodia Rajput Maharana Mahendra Singh Mewar.Maharanas of Udaipur consider themselves as custodians of Mewar under Ekling Ji.

4. Royal family of Ajmer under chauhan Rajput Maharana sri Ram Dayal singh chauhan.Maharanas of ajmer consider themselves as custodians of prithviraj chauhan under the hand of Maa Ashapura

5.Royal Family of Jaisalmer is under Bhati Rajput ruler Maharwal Brijraj Singh. Jaisalmer is known for its fort and sand dunes.

6. Royal family of Alwar is under Kachwaha Naruka Lalawat ruler Jitendra Pratap Singh Prabhakar Bahadur.

7. Royal Family of Bikaner is under Bika Rathore ruler Maharaja Raviraj Singh Rathore.

8. Dungarpur Royal family of Sisodia Ahra Guhilots is headed by Mahrawal Mahipal Singhji II Bahadur.

9.Banswara Royal Family is under Maharawal Jagmal Singhji II of Sisodia Ahra Guhilot clan.

10. HH Shri Maharaja Shri Brajendra Sawai VISHVENDRA SINGH Bahadur Jang heads the Bharatpur royal family.He belongs to Sinsiniwar Jat clan.

11. Bundi royal family was under Hada Chauhan ruler Maharao Raja Ranjeet Singh who died possibly without any heir.

12. Dushyant Singh is the only son of last Maharaja Rana of Dholpur, Hemant Singh.

13.Royal Family of Kota is headed by Hada Chauhan ruler, Maharaj Shri Brijraj Singhji Bahadur.

14. Jhalawar Royal Family is headed by Maharana Shri Chandra Jit Singh Bahadur who belongs to Jhala dynasty.

15. Kishangarh Royal Family of Rathores is headed by Maharaja Singh Bahadur.

16. Maharwat Ambika Pratap Singh of Sisodia Dynasty heads Pratapgarh royal family.

17. Rajadhiraj Indrajit Singh of Sisodia clan is head of Shahpura royal family.

18.Sirohi royal family is under Maharao Raghubir Singh Bahadur of Deora Chauhan clan.

These royal families still exist in Rajasthan.
