Potrivit anexei nr. 1.5, stema comunei Iclănzel se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat.

În partea superioară, în câmp roșu, se află un semn solar, încadrat de câte o făclie, toate de aur.

În partea inferioară, în câmp albastru, se află un cap de berbec de aur cu coarne de argint.

Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificațiile elementelor însumate:

Făclia reprezintă atât mișcarea iluministă Școala Ardeleană, ai cărei reprezentanți de frunte Petru Maior și fratele său, originari din zonă, au contribuit la dezvoltarea culturală a localității, cât și bogăția în gaz metan.

Semnul solar, reprodus după fresca din biserica Petru Maior, evocă personalitatea acestuia și face trimitere la vechiul toponim al comunei, numită odinioară Poarta Câmpiei.

Capul de berbec simbolizează una dintre ocupațiile de bază ale locuitorilor, oieritul.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
