English: Le lycée est installé depuis le début du 19e siècle dans l'ancien collège des Jésuites, qui ouvrit ses portes à cet emplacement en 1604. Les bâtiments datent des 17e et 18e siècles et comprennent la chapelle et l'ensemble des bâtiments entourant la cour d'honneur et la cour des cuisines. Le petit lycée de Joyeuse a été construit en plusieurs campagnes entre 1850 et 1900, à l'emplacement de l'ancien séminaire de Joyeuse. Les architectes sont : Martinet pour les bâtiments du 18e siècle, Chéruel et Hubert Touzet et Trintzius, architectes de la ville au 19e siècle. Les fresques sont de Paul Baudouin et le décor peint est de Philippe Zacharie dans la salle des actes. Le monument aux morts est l'oeuvre de Edouard Delabarre et Albert Guilloux. La statue de Corneille a été exécutée par René Duparcq.
