Description

The Bates scrapyard has since relocated to Fish Island... Their rather brash pick up truck jarrs against the background of their listed office building which will be incorporated into future developement of the site. The "Heart of Bow " devopment has not yet been built (in front of the bus) Notice the 081 telephone number, already superseded by 020 by then as seen on the pick-up truck. Since the photograph, the house has become a sales office for the development on the site of the former recycling yard. The sporty FWE pickup vehicle sports the 020 phone number.

The no 8 bus sports, quite appropriately, advertising for Roman Road Market, the end of which it has just passed.
