Title
RING
Description
English:

An incomplete copper alloy finger ring, c. 1600-1800.

A late Medieval to Post Medieval finger ring with a setting for a stone.

This ring has no indication of gilding left on the surface and no decoration on the metal. There is a large setting for a stone, although that has been lost in antiquity; this setting area contains a fragment of cloth covered in white paste, which would have held the stone in place. Part of the ring's loop has broken off prior to or during deposition and the thin sides of the stone setting have broken off during deposition.
