[edit]DescriptionRF-4B landing USS Midway 1980s.jpg | A U.S. Marine Corps McDonnell RF-4B-43-MC Phantom II (BuNo 157349) of Marine photo reconnaissance squadron VMFP-3 Eyes of the Corps landing on the aircraft carrier USS Midway (CV-41), in the early 1980s. A six-plane detachment of VMFP-3 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5) aboard the Midway from 1975 to 1984. The RF-4B 157349 (c/n 3892) was retired at NADEP North Island on 10 August 1990. It is today on display at the U.S. National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola, Florida (USA). |
