Summary

[edit]
Description A U.S. Marine Corps McDonnell RF-4B-26-MC Phantom II (BuNo 153103) of Marine composite reconnaissance squadron VMCJ-3 Eyes of the Corps. VMCJ-3 served as the main training squadron for Marine RF-4B crews at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, California (USA). The squadron operated the RF-4B from 1965 to 1975 when VMCJ-3 became VMFP-3 (tail code "RF"). Due to the early-style drop tanks, the photo was probably taken in the mid-1960s. The RF-4B 153103 was finally retired to the AMARC as 8F0332 on 12 July 1989.
