Description
English: CLEVELAND, Ohio (Sept. 21, 2003) Mrs. Sharon O'Neill of Wheeling, WV., holds a plaque that is engraved in remembrance of her son, Petty Officer 3rd Class Michael O'Neill. The plaque was secured to the sunken tug Duke Luedtke at a ceremony attended by O'Neill's friends and family members. Petty Officer O'Neill died in the line of duty on Lake Erie 10 years ago while responding to a search and rescue case of a tug boat taking on water. The tug capsized while O'Neill was in the engine room, trapping him below. USCG photo by PA3 Tasha Peters
