[edit]DescriptionRC Trainer Cable for Arduino (1813030953).jpg |
This is an RC trainer cable, design from here, connected to an Arduino. A trainer cable is used to connect two RC transmitters together, allowing two people to share control of a single remote-controlled aircraft. Why connect it to an Arduino instead? With this setup, the Arduino sends commands to your radio control transmitter, which then adds them to your manual input and radios them to the remote controlled model... For example, if the Arduino has the sensors to determine heading and inclination, you can mount it on your hat to track head motion. The Arduino can then send commands to two servos on the model via your transmitter, panning a camera left or right and up or down... on the same radio interface you already use to control the model manually. More info on this hack, including Arduino code, here. |
