Description
English: The Croatia registration prefix 'RC' was only on this aircraft for about 7 weeks before it changed to '9A'. It was previously D-ABFH of Lufthansa and was sold to Nationwide Air Charter, South Africa on 01-Aug-99 as ZS-OEZ. It's the aircraft that suffered a catastrophic engine failure at Cape Town (CPT) on 07-Nov-07 when the No:2 engine detached from the aircraft on take-off. The aircraft returned safely to CPT but the incident hastened the end of Nationwide and they ceased trading at the end of Apr-08. The aircraft was eventually broken up at CPT in late 2010, 29 years after it was built.
