Description
English: A Royal Air Force Merlin helicopter soars over Jordan during Exercise Desert Vortex.

250 Royal Air Force personnel from RAF Odiham and RAF Benson undertook a training exercise in the Middle Eastern country. It was the first time that 6 Chinook and 3 Merlin helicopters had trained together in a desert environment, as their crews prepared for deployment to Afghanistan.
