Description
English: Royal Air Force technicians work on a Chinook helicopter during a pre-Afghanistan exercise.

Jebel Sahara was a Royal Air Force exercise held in North Africa aimed at getting Chinook Pilots and Aircrew prepared for conditions in the Middle East. Working alongside Army Air Corps Lynx helicopters and an array of ground support personnel, the Chinook pilots and aircrew practiced dust landings and underslung load carrying among other vital tasks.
