Der Radschläger ist eine Symbolfigur für Düsseldorf. Sie gibt es nur einmal in Deutschland und vielleicht in der ganzen Welt. Hinter der "Geschichte des Radschlägers" verstecken sich einige Legenden. Sie alle haben etwas mit der wechselvollen und bunten Stadtgeschichte Düsseldorfs zu tun. Es gibt einen jährlichen Radschläger-Wettbewerb am Rhein, den die Alde Düsseldorfer e.V. veranstalten...ein bunter und sportlicher Wettbewerb am Rhein, der früher die Gäste Düsseldorfs aus aller Herren Länder erfreut hatte und heute nur noch selten zu sehen ist.
