Kommentar: Brutus hieß nach seiner Adoption 59 v. Chr. Q. Servilius Caepio Brutus. - Troxell (1982) zeigte die enge typologische Verbindung dieses Denartyps zu lykischen Bundesprägungen auf, die belegen, daß dieser Münztyp von einer in Lykien operierenden Münzstätte geprägt wurde. Zu dieser Gruppe gehören auch die Denare vom Typ Crawford 503 und die Quinare Crawford Nr. 506,3.
