English: This diagram depicts the distribution of the dives of the females in the subantarctic fur seal (Arctocephalus tropicalis) during the night. The females hunt and dive only during the night. This diagram drew his inspiration from the article of Georges, J.Y., Tremblay, Y., Guinet, C. Seasonal diving behaviour in lactating subantarctic fur seals on Amsterdam Island. Polar Biology, 23, 59-69, 2000. The majority of the dives used to happen between 5 and 50 meters depth, this area has been demarcated by two horizontal red lines. The deepest dive has reached 208 meters for a duration of 3 minutes and 20 seconds, the longest dive has lasted 6 minutes and 30 seconds for a depth of 50 meters. Theses extremes dives has been depicted by two red dots. The night has been symbolized by the drawing of stars in the sky. This diagram has been made under Open Office Calc software, the shapes of fur seals and the stars has been added under Gimp software.
