English: The altar of the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in the Old Saint John's Hospital, Budapest. The chapel was damaged during 1944-45 and demolished in 1949. The altar disappeared. It was a Baroque structure from 1735 with a main altarpiece depicting the Glory of Saint John of Nepomuk, painted by János Mertz in 1801. Wooden sculptures: Saint Anne and Saint Joachim on the sides, the Holy Trinity with adoring angels (pediment). |
