Description
English:
Mikszáth Cultural Center main building. Built in 1989. Planned by Péter Reimholz. The former site of the Cultural Center as District Cultural Home was in the former County Hall (Civitass Fortissima Square) - Before the building is a bust of Albert Imre Szent-Györgyi de Nagyrápolt by Péter Márkus (1999, gypsum treated (coated) with plastic or watertight paint). Inside is a bust of Kálmán Mikszáth by Sándor Szandai (1953 limestone works, relocated in 2006, repaired by Zoltán Cserniczky). This building is the home of the Balassagyarmat Mountaineering Club (Est. 1991) and here is the Club 10 m high artificial (climbing) wall - Mikszáth Kálmán Road corner, 50 Rákóczi fejedelem Road, Balassagyarmat, Nógrád County, Hungary.

1989-ben épült a Reimholz Péter tervezte Mikszáth Kálmán Művelődési Központ székhelyépülete (1950-es években az intézmény neve Járási Kultúrotthon, a volt vármegyeháza épületében volt). Előtte Nagyrápolti Szent-Györgyi Albert Imre mellszobra (vízzáró barna festékkel kezelt gipsz/műanyag?, Avatás 2002, Avatás 1999, Márkus Péter)[1] belül Mikszáth Kálmán mellszobra (Szandai Sándor, Avatás 2006. március, 1953-ban készült, a 2006 előtt megsérült alkotást Csemniczky Zoltán restaurálta)[2] A Központ I. emeletén található Balassagyarmati Hegymászó Klub (1991 óta, az 1987-ben alakult Természetbarát-és Hegymászó Klubjog utódja) 10 m magas műfala (bgyhk.hu/) Megjegyzés 2022-ben telephelyei: Horváth Endre Galéria (szinténaz épületben van korábban a Szerb templom épületében volt), (Civitas Fortissima tér 5), Szerbtemplom Galéria (Szerb utca 5), Szabadtéri Színpad (Palóc liget), mkmk.hu/telephelyek/ - Nógrád megye, Balassagyarmat, Rákóczi Ferenc utca 50. Mikszáth Kálmán út sarok.
