Summary

[edit]
Description

Located at the corner of Castle St and Watling St the Queens Head Hotel has since reverted to its original name, The Three Tuns, after being known as The Queen's Head since the 18th Century.

The "Queen's Head" in question was Queen Bertha, the original Christian Queen of Kent and wife of King Ethelbert. At the time of this photograph the sign was not in evidence.
