Summary
[edit]DescriptionQuartz conglomerate boulder on desolate hillside - geograph.org.uk - 1436596.jpg |
English: Quartz conglomerate boulder on desolate hillside This uninhabited grid square consists of a relatively featureless hillside that slopes gently towards the northwest. In its northwest corner there is some enclosed land (see the line of trees through the mist) but the bulk of it is open 'Access Land'. The higher, southeast part of the square contains several large conglomerate boulders which were probably weathered from nearby exposures and have then been transported by gravity - or possibly ice - to their present positions. |
