English: In early September 2018, a heavy peat fire broke out on the Meppen firing range (military technology department #91; Lower Saxony, Germany) and produced serious emissions of intensely smelling smoke, which impaired sight and caused unusually colorful sunsets almost 80 km (50 mi) away in the village of Sandkrug.
Deutsch: Anfang September 2018 brach auf dem Schießplatz Meppen (Niedersachsen; Wehrtechnische Dienststelle 91) ein schwerer Torfbrand aus und erzeugte starke Emissionen von penetrant riechendem Qualm, der selbst im fast 80 km entfernten Sandkrug für Sichtbehinderungen und ungewöhnlich farbenfrohe Sonnenuntergänge sorgte.
Polski: Początkiem września 2018 r. wybuchł rozległy pożar torfowiska na terenie poligonu artylerii (tzw oddziału technologii wojskowej nr 91) w Meppen (Dolna Saksonia, Niemcy), wywołując poważne emisje dokłuczliwie śmierdzącego dymu, który ograniczał widoczność i wywoływał niezwykle kolorowe zachody Słońca nawet w odległości niemal 80 km we wsi Sandkrug. |
