English: Qom (also spelled "Ghom", "Ghum", or "Qum") (Persian: قم [ɢom] (listen)) is a city in the Central District of Qom County, Qom province, Iran, and serves as capital of the province, county, and district. It is the seventh largest metropolis and also the seventh largest city in Iran.The city is 140 km (87 mi) to the south of Tehran,and on the banks of the Qom River.
العربية: مدينة قُم هي إحدى مدن إيران والتي تعتبر الحوزة العلمية فيها المركز العلمي الديني للشيعة بعد النجف. تقع على بعد 157 كم جنوب العاصمة طهران.
ქართული: ყუმი (სპარს. قم, ɢom) — შიიტების წმინდა ქალაქი ირანში. ყუმის ოსტანის დედაქალაქი. მოსახლეობა 1 მლნ-ზე მეტია. მდებარეობს თეირანიდან სამხრეთით 150 კმ-ზე.
Español: Qom, Ghom o Qum es la capital de la provincia iraní de Qom. En 2005 registraba una población de 1.04 millones de habitantes. Se sitúa a 156 km al sudoeste de Teherán, en la ribera del río Qom. Qom es considerada ciudad santa en el islam chiita, ya que ahí se ubica el sepulcro de Fátima Ma'suma, hermana del imán Reza (798-816 d. C.). La ciudad es el centro mundial de los estudios islámicos chiitas, y es un destino importante de peregrinación.
Italiano: Qom o Qum , ma anche Qomm, è una città dell'Iran. È il centro amministrativo della provincia di Qom, e aveva, nel 2006, 957.496 abitanti.
La città è attraversata dall'omonimo fiume. Qum è la seconda città santa dell'Iran dopo Mashhad e ospita il santuario di Hażrat-é Maʿsūmeh, dove possono entrare solo musulmani. La città fu il cuore della Rivoluzione iraniana e rimane tuttora uno dei luoghi più conservatori del paese.

Deutsch: Ghom bzw. Qom (auch Qum oder Kum, früher Com; persisch قم, DMG Qom) ist die Hauptstadt der Provinz Ghom im Iran. Ghom hat über 1.292.000 Einwohner, ist mit dem Schrein der Fātima Maʿsūma ein wichtiger schiitischer Wallfahrtsort und mit der Hauza von Ghom eines der wichtigsten Zentren der schiitischen Gelehrsamkeit. In keiner anderen iranischen Stadt sind so viele schiitische ʿUlamā' und Persönlichkeiten begraben wie in Ghom, und die Friedhöfe erstrecken sich über ein ausgedehntes Areal. |
