Description
English: Qasr el Azraq est classé par les guides parmi les "châteaux du désert" de la Jordanie. Ce fut bien le cas tardivement, mais la première construction date de la période romaine. Il s'agissait de défendre l'oasis voisine. Oasis qui disparaît depuis quelques années car la nappe phréatique est victime des pompages en eau potable pour la ville d'Amman ! 95% des oiseaux migrateurs n'y viennent plus. Ils ont choisi le Lac de Tibériade... Il y a paraît-il un projet de sauvetage de l'oasis. Laurence d'Arabie séjourna ici.
