Using Perfect 5ths results in different values for notes going up and down

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 2 to the 7th approximately equals 3/2 to the 12th. That is, 7 Octaves approximates 12 Perfect Fifths. The difference is the Pythagorean Comma which results in slightly different frequency values for notes when going from low to high than when going from high to low. Fixed frequency instruments like guitar and piano use 2 to the 7/12th or approximately 1.498 for the Fifth and twelve of them exactly equals 7 Octaves.
